Pharmaglass's production capabilities as a glass bottle manufacturer encompass all stages of the glass manufacturing process from upstream to downstream. The process begins at the batch house where raw materials such as silica sand, soda ash, limestone, and cullet (recycled glass) are mixed according to formulation. Different formulations are used to produce various glass types such as Type I borosilicate, Type II treated soda-lime, and Type III soda-lime glass based on application requirements.

Pharmaglass furnaces operate 24/7 at temperatures up to 1,550 degrees Celsius, producing molten glass channeled to IS (Individual Section) machines for bottle forming. The IS machine technology we use is capable of producing glass bottles with high precision at production speeds of thousands of units per hour. After forming, bottles undergo annealing in a lehr oven to remove internal stress and ensure optimal mechanical strength.
